Srinjoy Mitra

Associate Professor (Reader) at the School of Engineering, University of Edinburgh
Srinjoy Mitra is an Associate Professor (Reader) at the School of Engineering, University of Edinburgh. He received his undergraduate and master's degrees from India. After spending some time in the electronics industry in Japan, he received his PhD from ETH, Zurich, in 2008. He then joined Johns Hopkins University, USA, as a post-doc and later worked at IMEC, Belgium as a senior scientist. He returned to academia as a Lecturer at the University of Glasgow and moved to the University of Edinburgh in 2017.  Apart from his technological work in electronic sensor interfaces, he has a keen interest in the technosocial aspects of ICT. He leads the decolonization curriculum working group for the College of Science and Engineering at the University of Edinburgh. His current works include techno-solutionism and the neocolonial impacts of technological innovation.
