How EU's techno-solutionism helped militarise the green agenda
In 2019, EU politicians were excited for the implementation of the Green New Deal. Soon after, the "green transition" adopted digital as means of reaching its goals, and turned into the "Twin transition". The pandemic recovery, the Russian aggression in the UK and the US-China trade relations made the "Twin Transition" a key geopolitical instrument. This session will present some of the legislative and non-legislative initiatives that show the twin transition's role in EU's external relations as well as in reviving its industrial military complex.
